You know, we never actually planned to open a wedding venue! Life has a funny way of surprising you, doesn’t it? Sometimes paths appear that you never expected to walk down. That’s what happened for us. We summoned the courage – or crazy – and took off walking and now here we are – hosting weddings in a barn we literally took down and moved 25 miles to its gorgeous current location in Wooster. Then we discovered another stunning property in Kimbolton with a Grand Lodge and log cabins and we knew we could do it again! And we’ve loved every minute of it.
When we started this journey, we’ll be honest – we didn’t know everything there was to know about weddings. But what we did have was a burning desire to be better – to help couples navigate the wedding process easier and with less stress. We had been to weddings and had hosted our first 2 children’s weddings. We seen what was available and knew it could be better. So we convened an incredible team of people to work along side of us. We had a vision and our team brought their hearts and talents to help us create what Willow Haven has become today.

Here’s something we think is really important for you to know: we’re not your typical wedding venues. We don’t have investors breathing down our necks or quotas to meet. We host weddings simply because we love sharing these special places with couples who fall in love with it just like we have. It’s that simple, and that pure.
What makes us different? We’re a family and team who genuinely care about you and every single detail of your celebration. We’ve been so humbled by the amazing reviews from couples who say we go above and beyond – but honestly, that’s just who we are. You’re never just another booking to us. We know the weight of the trust you place in us, and we take that seriously. After all, we only get one chance to help make your wedding day what you imagine it to be.
Since we welcomed our first couples in 2018, Willow Haven has blossomed into something beyond our wildest dreams. We’ve listened carefully to every couple’s feedback and made thoughtful improvements year after year. That romantic firepit area? Born because celebrations needed extra magic. Our new ceremony spaces? Created because you asked for it. We’ve always worked, built and designed with one thought in mind – making your day as beautiful as possible.
